Banca Mediolanum expects 10% increase in full-year net interest income
Adds net inflows guidance, CEO comment
Aug 1 (Reuters) -Italian lender Banca Mediolanum BMED.MI expects 10% growth in net interest income this year, it said on Thursday after reporting first-half net interest income up 20% at 418 million euros ($450.85 million).
Net inflows into managed assets, meanwhile, are projected to be in a range of 6.5 billion to 7 billion euros, up from the 4 billion euros registered last year, the bank said.
"The second quarter was extremely positive, driven by the performance of stock markets, where we have significant exposure," Chief Executive Massimo Doris said in a statement.
The bank also reiterated expectations of a 2024 dividend increase, as indicated after first-quarter results in May.
