- British luxury label Burberry BRBY.L has replaced Jonathan Akeroyd, its chief executive, with Joshua Schulman and axed its dividend after issuing the latest in a series of profit warnings.
- SSE SSE.L and TotalEnergies TTEF.PA have created a joint venture to install 3,000 electric vehicle charging points, to provide enough power in only six minutes for a vehicle to travel more than sixty miles, in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

- Lloyds Banking Group LLOY.L will start converting its disused office sites into social housing, as the UK's largest mortgage provider lays the groundwork for a fresh housebuilding boom after Labour's election win.

- Jaguar will have just one combustion engine car in production by the end of this year as the British luxury brand axes almost its entire line-up ahead of a switch to electric-only models.

- A takeover bid for The Daily Telegraph from Paul Marshall, the hedge fund tycoon, is in growing doubt days before a deadline for offers for the influential broadsheet newspaper.
- Centrica CNA.L, the FTSE-100 owner of British Gas, the UK's biggest domestic energy supplier, is in talks to recruit its next chairman.

- Two Muslim women are suing Lloyds Bank LLOY.L, one of the UK's biggest banks, for discrimination after being disciplined for posting pro-Palestine messages in an internal work forum for Muslim staff.
