- Creditors of Britain's largest water provider Thames Water are planning to inject more than 1 billion pounds ($1.33 billion) into the utility before the end of the year.

- HSBC HSBA.L has thrown its weight behind calls for tech firms to pay up for fraud, saying incoming compensation rules requiring banks to reimburse scam victims up to 85,000 pounds will fail to stem the flow of fraud and prove that the financial sector is not the problem.
- British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves will announce on Monday that she has ordered investigations into more than 600 million pounds worth of Covid contracts awarded under the Conservatives as Labour struggles to get back on the front foot over questions of ethics.
