China stats, lower iron ore prices weigh on European steelmakers
** Shares in European steelmakers fall on Tuesday dragged by "weak Chinese stats and lower iron ore prices," analysts say
** Iron ore futures retreated on Tuesday as investors and traders grew wary of prospects of forceful stimulus from top consumer China from its third plenum following a slew of weaker-than-expected economic data
** Luxembourg-based ArcelorMittal MT.LU and German Salzgitter SZGG.DE register the biggest drop, falling 4.8% and 6.78%, respectively
** "ArcelorMittal could be a bit more vulnerable since it is, unlike other steelmakers, a big iron ore producer," Oddo-BHF analyst Maxime Kogge says
** ArcelorMittal's operations in Canada could be at risk after other local producers announced temporary shutdowns due to wildfire, Kogge also adds
** Thyssenkrupp TKAG.DE and SSAB SSABa.ST fall 3-3.5%
