** China's Tianqi Lithium 002466.SZ has asked Chile's financial regulator to reconsider its decision about the SQM-Codelco lithium deal not needing shareholder approval, newspaper La Tercera reported.

** BBVA's BBVA.MC chairman said the bank had "no need" to improve its hostile bid for rival Sabadell SABE.MC, as he vowed to push ahead with the deal despite political opposition and regulatory uncertainty.

** Brazilian restaurant chain operator Zamp ZAMP3.SA is in advanced talks to buy the rights to operate the Subway brand in the South American country, local newspaper O Globo reported.
