Eutelsat up on talks to sell passive ground infrastructure assets
** Shares in Eutelsat ETL.PA rise 2% after the French satellite company said on Friday it had started talks with the EQT Infrastructure VI Fund ZAPGVX.O to sell most of its passive ground infrastructure assets
** Eutelsat says the assets, which include land, buildings, support infrastructure, antennas and connectivity circuits, would become a separate entity, with 80% owned by EQT and 20% by Eutelsat
** The new entity should be valued at 790 million euros ($863 million) after the completion of the transaction, expected in Q1 2026, it adds
** "We estimate the deal could see delevering around 0.2x in FY26," Deutche Bank says in a note
** The broker adds the transaction will not help Eutelsat in the near term and as longer-term concerns remain
