ECONOMY
ISTAT releases July consumer and business confidence data (0800 GMT) and Q2 wage inflation data (0900 GMT).
DEBT
Treasury sells 6.0 billion eurosin 6-month BOT bills. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.
On Thursday it said it will sell up to 9.25 billion euros over 4 bonds at a July 30 auction.
COMPANIES
ENI ENI.MI
(*) The energy group said on Friday its second-quarter adjusted net profit fell 21% year-on-year, but beat market expectations thanks to a stronger than anticipated performance at its upstream and Gas & LNG divisions.
(*) Malaysia's state energy firm Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), Eni unit Enilive, and Japanese company Euglena Co 2931.T have reached a final investment decision to develop a biorefinery in Malaysia, the companies said on Friday.
The group on Thursday approved the first tranche of the 2024 dividend for 0.25 euros per share.

The utility said on Thursday it would pay a dividend on its 2024 results above the group's planned floor, after reporting a 9% rise in its first-half core profit.
In slides ahead of a post-results analyst call, the group said it had completed its disposal plan with 5 billion euros cashed in the second quarter this year.
The group added it would start a buyback for up to 2.9 million shares, from Sept. 16 to Dec. 16.
Spanish power utility Endesa ELE.MC, controlled by Enel, said on Thursday it has sold to Abu Dhabi's Masdar a 49.99% stake in the company controlling its solar power installations in Spain for 817 million euros ($887.10 million).
STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
Italy's industry ministry is assessing whether golden powers aimed at shielding strategic assets can be used for the carmaker's sale of its majority stake in robotic unit Comau to One Equity Partners, it said in a statement on Thursday.

The state-controlled defence group and France's Airbus AIR.PA are discussing ways to strengthen collaborations and industrial synergies, Chief Executive Roberto Cingolani told financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore in an interview published on Friday.

The lender said on Thursday it was dropping some elements in its application to the European Court of Justice against a European Central Bank (ECB) request to cut the Italian bank's Russia exposure.
SNAM SRG.MI
The gas grid operator announced on Thursday a deal with EDF's Italian unit Edison EDNn.MI on gas storage assets with a base price of around 560 million euros ($608.05 million).
WEBUILD WDB.MI
The construction group on Thursday posted upbeat results for the first half of 2024, with a record order backlog and growing revenue.
TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI
Vivendi Chief Executive Arnaud de Puyfontaine said on Thursday he was not aware that telecoms group Iliad had expressed any interest in the French media group's stake in Telecom Italia (TIM).

BID-GO Srl ends full mandatory takeover offer on Go Internet shares.

The head of eyewear company EssilorLuxottica ESLX.PA said Meta META.O had informed him that it might take a stake in the company, adding on Thursday that he would welcome such a step.
