Mixed bag for Europe

MIXED BAG FOR EUROPE
European stocks are heading for mixed start to Tuesday, with EuroSTOXX50 STXEc1 and DAX futures FDXc1 each up 0.25% , while FTSE futures FFIc1 are off 0.4%. Lower oil prices are set to hurt the energy-heavy British benchmark and Brent crude LCOc1 was last down about 0.6%. O/R
The mixed pictures comes after shares rallied globally on Monday amid a hopeful atmosphere ahead of Fed Chair Jerome Powell's planned remarks at Jackson Hole later this week.
In earnings, London-listed Chilean miner Antofagasta ANTO.L posted a 5% increase in half-year profit on Tuesday, as higher copper prices more than offset lower sales.
Wood Group WG.L also has H1 results, and has reaffirmed its 2024/5 guidance, and earnings are also out for Norwegian salmon producer SalMar SALM.OL and Switzerland's Huber+Suhner HUBN.S.
