MTU Aero Engines reports rise in second-quarter profit
Aug 1 (Reuters) -German engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines MTXGn.DE reported a rise in its second-quarter adjusted core profit, beating consensus, driven by its maintenance, repair and overhaul business, the company said on Thursday.
Adjusted core profit was 252 million euros ($508.78 million), up 16% compared to 193 million euros last year and above the 223 million euros expected by analysts in a company-provided consensus.
The Airbus AIR.PA and Boeing BA.N supplier also confirmed its guidance for the financial year, but expects an adjusted core profit margin of 13%, from a previous 12%-13% range.
