- Rail freight traffic in Canada came to a standstill early Thursday as the country’s two main rail companies, Canadian National CNR.TO and Canadian Pacific Kansas City CP.TO, locked out about 10,000 employees due to a labor dispute, a move that could cause supply chain disruptions in the United States and serious economic consequences within Canada.
- Ford Motor F.N said on Wednesday that it is again slowing the pace of its investments on new battery-powered models and delay the introduction of a new large electric pickup truck by about 18 months to 2027.
