ISTANBUL, Sept 12 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 33.97-34.04 against the U.S. dollar at 0011 GMT, from a close of 33.98 on Wednesday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian shares bounced on Thursday, tracking a tech-driven rally on Wall Street, while the dollar held onto gains after U.S. core inflation surprised slightly on the upside and dashed hopes of a large rate cut by the Federal Reserve next week.
VICE PRESIDENT
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will give an interview to state-owned Anadolu news agency. (0700 GMT)
TURKISH-AMERICAN ACTIVIST
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday called the Israeli military's killing of an American activist in the Israeli-occupied West Bank "unacceptable" and said Israel must do more to make sure it never happens again.
