ISTANBUL, Sept 16 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 33.8945-34.0300 against the U.S. dollar at 0414 GMT, compared with a close of 33.9750 on Friday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian stocks made a cautious start on Monday in a week that is almost certain to see the start of an easing cycle in the United States with the only question mark being the size of the cut, with markets split on the chance of an outsized move.
ERDOGAN SCHEDULE
President Tayyip Erdogan will make a speech at an opening ceremony for the training of judges and prosecutors. (1100 GMT)
Erdogan will then chair a meeting of his AK Party's central executive committee. (1230 GMT)
BUDGET DATA TRBUD=ECI
The Finance Ministry will announce August budget data. (0800 GMT)
BOND AUCTIONS
The Finance Ministry will tap 2-year fixed-coupon bonds due on Aug. 12, 2026 and 3-year CPI-indexed bonds due on Aug. 18, 2027.
TRANSPORT MINISTER
Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will attend the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Regional Strategy Forum. (0630 GMT)
TRADE MINISTER
Trade Minister Omer Bolat will attend the academic year opening ceremony of Istanbul Commerce University. (0700 GMT)
