Adds "price developments" to cenbank data
ISTANBUL, Sept 4 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.00 against the U.S. dollar, compared with its close of 33.9800 on Tuesday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.87% lower at 10,021.80 points on Tuesday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian shares and global stock futures tumbled on Wednesday, led by a heavy decline in technology names and as worries about the global growth outlook drove investors out of risky assets, while oil prices hit multi-month lows.
ERDOGAN SCHEDULE
President Tayyip Erdogan will receive Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi (1100 GMT) and attend the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (1230 GMT). The two leaders will hold a joint news conference (1400 GMT). Erdogan will host a dinner in honor of al-Sisi (1445 GMT).
TRADE MINISTER
Traden minister Omer Bolat will attend e-Export global summit in Istanbul.(0630 GMT)
MAIN OPPOSITION PARTY
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Ozgur Ozel will visit Turkey's eastern province of Sivas.
CENBANK DATA
The central bank will release its monthly statement on price developments (0700 GMT) and real effective exchange rate. (1130 GMT)
