Sept 6 -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Friday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.30%.


* BERKELEY: British high-end homebuilder Berkeley said trading has been stable over the first four months of its current fiscal year and retained its annual profit forecast.

* DARKTRACE: Britain's Darktrace said CEO Poppy Gustafsson will step down and named Jill Popelka as the successor.

* GSK: British drugmaker GSK announced positive results from its late-stage trial of asthma drug Nucala in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), also known as smoker's lungs.

* WATER REGULATION: Britain set out new legislation on Thursday to toughen the oversight of water companies, with penalties including imprisonment for bosses if they obstruct investigations into the contamination of rivers, lakes and seas.

* SOLAR FARM: Britain's Planning Inspectorate granted development consent to a large solar farm project comprising three electricity-generating stations with anticipated capacity in excess of 50 megawatts.

* ROLLS ROYCE: Europe's aviation regulator ordered a one-off visual inspection of fuel hoses on some Rolls-Royce RR.L XWB-97 engines powering Airbus AIR.PA A350-1000 jetliners following an engine fire on a Cathay Pacific airplane earlier this week.

* INVESTMENT: Britain needs an additionalone trillion pounds ($1.32 trillion) in investment in the next decade to grow the economy, a report said on Friday.

* OIL: Oil prices edged up in early trading on Friday as investors weighed a big withdrawal from U.S. crude inventories and a delay to production hikes by OPEC+ producers against mixed U.S. employment data.

* GOLD: Gold held below a one-week high on Friday and was on track for a weekly gain, as market participants focussed on U.S. jobs data that could shape the size of an expected rate cut this month.
