UK's AB Foods top loser on FTSE 100 on muted H2 forecast for Primark sales
** Primark owner AB Foods ABF.L down 3.8% at 2,406p; stock top loser on London's bluechip index .FTSE
** Co expects Primark's like-for-like sales to decreases by 0.5% in H2 due to the unfavourable weather in the UK and Ireland which resulted in lower footfall, particularly impacting sales of its seasonal lines in womenswear and footwear
** Says Primark's market share decreased to 6.5% in the 24 weeks to 21 July 2024 reflecting the lower high street footfall
** ABF keeps outlook unchanged for adjusted operating profit for Primark
** For Primark, it expects adjusted operating margin in FY25 to remain broadly in line with this year's level
** Co intends to buyback 100 million pounds ($131.45 million) of shares
