Valeo confirms margin targets, shares jump
** Shares in French car parts maker Valeo VLOF.PA rise 4.7% after it confirmed its margin targets for 2024 and 2025 on the back of H1 results, despite lowering sales target
** J.P.Morgan says Valeo is "delivering on track" with a strong set of results
** JPM says that 2024 into 2025 earnings walk is less driven by volume and more by cost cutting efforts, with gross margin improvement driven by price improvement and cost improvements
** The broker adds it will increase its earnings estimates by 7% on average, reflecting the progress done in the first half
** "We think first half earnings will provide a vote of confidence to investors with regards to the management team's ability to execute the 2024 and 2025 financial targets" - JPM
** Up to the previous session's close, shares were down 31.4% YTD
