Arm shares rise after Raymond James initiates with "outperform"
** U.S.-listed shares of Arm Holdings ARM.O up 6.4% at $148.12 in morning trading Fri, and the stock hit its highest level since July 29, as Raymond James initiated coverage of the stock with an "outperform" rating and a target price of $160
** "As the dominant supplier of energy-efficient processor/subsystems IP, ARM is well-positioned to benefit from rapid growth of GenAI in the cloud and at the edge," according to the Raymond James note.
** The median 12-month price target on the stock is $137, up from $130 a month ago, and 14 out of 33 analysts covering the stock rate it a "buy," according to LSEG
** On Mon, Arm shares rose after a report that Apple AAPL.O will use SoftBank-owned 9984.T Arm's chip technology for AI
** Including the session move, ARM is about 97% YTD vs a nearly 18% gain in the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC over that period
