Palantir, Dell slip ahead of S&P 500 inclusion
** Dell Technologies DELL.N and data analytics firm Palantir Technologies PLTR.N down ~1.7% each, property and casualty insurer Erie Indemnity ERIE.O down 0.2%
** Cos will be added to benchmark S&P 500 .SPX when index rebalances ahead of the market open on Sept. 23, as per Sept. 6 announcement
** Palantir is one of the most heavily traded U.S. stocks in early trade, as per LSEG data
** Trading volume in three cos likely to surge ahead of the close, analysts say, as investors adjust portfolios and funds to match index composition
** Dell has gained 15%, Palantir up 21.4%, Erie up 4% since Sept. 6 announcement through Thursday close
